Recently, the Kolsa Mohalla Halai Memon Jamat Mumbai, to encourage students had organized an award distribution ceremony at Beg Mohammed Baug, Mumbai. The ceremony began by recitation of the Holy Koran by Haji Mohammed Hussein. Mr. Shafi gave an outline of the social services and the work to be done in today's environment, along with their importance.

The President of the Jamat, Mr. Ebrahim Hasham Kolsawala thanked the people for turning up in large numbers and revealed that work on the Award Distribution function was going on for some time, but due to some problems, were getting delayed. Maybe it was due to our shortcomings he humbly said.

This function of the Kolsa Mohalla Jamat had the head of the federation Dr. Nasir Fulara as the chief guest; Mr. Ebrahim H. Kolsawala felicitated him by presentation of a memento. Other guests who were felicitated included Mr. A. Sattar Macchiwala, Aminabai Barniwala, Mr. Noormohammed Cutlerywala, Mr. Suleman Bhiwandiwala, Mr. Abdullah Umer Merchant, Mr. Mohammed Hussein Porbunderwala, Mr. A. Latif Zakaria Patel, Mr. Yunus Aghadhi, Mr. Yusuf Nagani, Mr. Imran Furniturewala, Mr. Mohammed Yusuf Sopariwala, Mr. Anwar Yusuf Chandiwala, Mr. Adam Noor, Mr. Ismail Patel and many more who were present. In the education area, Janab Tayyab Seth Malabarwala awarded 6 top ranking students, while Atlas Tours & Travels gave mementos. Cosmic Travels & Tours gave awards to 233 first ranking students from K.G to Degree Courses.
