Prawn Pulao

Fragrant basmati rice cooked with tender prawns, caramelized onions, and aromatic spices.

Instructions

    Wash and soak rice for 20 minutes. Drain.

    Heat oil; fry onions until golden brown. Remove half for garnish.

    Add ginger-garlic paste and green chili; sauté 2 minutes.

    Add prawns; cook 5–7 minutes until pink.

    Add rice, water, and salt; bring to boil then simmer covered 15–20 minutes.

    Garnish with fried onions, garam masala, and coriander.

  • Basmati rice – 2 cups
  • Prawns – 400 g, deveined
  • Onion – 1 large, thinly sliced
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Green chili – 1, slit
  • Cooking oil – 3 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – 3 cups
  • Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • Fresh coriander – 1 tbsp, chopped
