Chicken Karahi

A classic chicken dish cooked in a wok-like pan (karahi) with tomatoes, onions, ginger, and aromatic spices. Known for its rich flavor and slightly spicy gravy, perfect with naan or steamed rice.

Wash chicken pieces and pat dry.

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Sauté onions until golden brown.

Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies; cook 2–3 minutes until aromatic.

Add chicken and stir to coat with the onion mixture. Cook 8–10 minutes until chicken turns opaque.

Mix in chili powder, turmeric, and salt; cook 2–3 minutes.

Add chopped tomatoes, cover, and simmer 20–25 minutes until chicken is tender and oil separates.
