Chicken Salan

Tender chicken pieces in a rich, aromatic gravy with traditional Memon spices, perfect for special occasions.

Instructions

    Marinate chicken in yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, and salt for 30 minutes.

    Heat ghee, add cumin seeds.

    Add onions and cook until golden brown.

    Add remaining ginger-garlic paste and green chillies.

    Add tomatoes and cook until soft.

    Add turmeric, red chilli powder, and coriander powder.

    Add marinated chicken and cook on high heat for 5 minutes.

    Add water, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes until chicken is tender.

    Serve hot with rice or bread.

  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Ghee – 4 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – 1 cup
